“Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably-Priced Love, and a Hard-Boiled Egg!” This solemn day of remembrance honors the brief (one day) rise and fall of the People’s Republic of Treacle Mine Road on Discworld. The survivors of the revolution visit the Small Gods graveyard and wear a sprig of lilac to honor their fallen countrymen.
To celebrate: In the real world, this day has come to be seen as a day of remembrance for author of the Discworld series, Terry Pratchett, who died of Alzheimer’s in 2015. The occasion is also observed by donning a sprig of lilac.
