A Good Book Drive 2016
Sammy Younan, Girth Radio’s talented and adorable program director, is proving that he is just as tender-hearted as he is handsome by participating in this year’s A Good Book Drive.
A Good Book Drive was founded in 2012 by Cory Ashworth and Lizzy Karp, and has been providing children in Vancouver and Brooklyn with new books ever since. 2016 sees Toronto join the list of participating cities, thanks to the hard work of local ambassador Lana Gay.
The idea is that participants choose their favourite book from when they were young, and drop them off at one of the many Good Book Box locations throughout their city. Inside each book, the children will find a message from the donor, telling a little about themself and why the book is so important to them.
Sammy has chosen wisely with Oh, The Places You’ll Go by a writer who is close to everyone’s hearts, Dr. Seuss.
What children’s book would you choose to donate?
