Recent posts: In Session With Girth…
2017 was a good year over at Girth Radio. We continued to bring in guests that got our hosts excited to be there. We gave them a drink or two to get their secrets out and recorded for your listening pleasure and we laughed, high fived and from time to time bro hugged it out. We talked the real talk, silly talk and lots and lots of promo talk. Here’s a run down of some of our favourite moments from 2017.
We were excited to host a private meet and greet for the serious Sam Roberts fans. It was an intimate gathering and host Sammy Younan pressed Sam if he was a nerd based on the sci-fi elements of his 2017 release TerraForm.
This special edition of The Creative Imbalance podcast was so jammed packed that Sean had to get his friend Jenny Potter to help co-host it! The episode takes place around a Toronto Podcast Community meet up and features a marathon of short interviews from creators from shows such as Geek Hard, The Freeze, The One Sheet, Sweat and Salt, My Summer Lair, Fairy Tales For Unwanted Children and more.
Karim Kanji’s show Welcome had a milestone episode recording his 100th Episode. We threw him a party and he brought in Maestro Fresh Wes to talk about his career and his lastest release Coach Fresh in front of a live audience. Photo Credits: Culture Snap Photography
Adding two more shows
In 2017 we added two more shows and we are excited to see how they develop over time. 21 Questions hosted by the dynamic duo Maggie and Vanessa tackle topics over beers and invited guests. They’ve covered topics like Marijuana, Millennials, and Dating. It’ll make you laugh and think and laugh some more.
Let’s talk about last night’s NXNE fun. Our evening started at Pacific Junction Hotel with Luke Roes Ivory Hours’ front man as our In Session With Girth… guest who played some songs acoustically. I’m stumped which versions I liked more, particularly with the song Warpaint.
